Sport-O-Pedia
A project wherein PPt is been prepared on one sport containing all the details of that sport and it is circulated to the members via mail. its an on going project where every month different sport is taken and members get knowledge on different sports.

It's an International service project where members were asked to send recipe containing coconut and calender were made by this recipes.

Hit malaria campaign
In 2nd phase Malaria awareness done in different school of Ghatkopar where presentation on Malaria were shown to the students of 5 to 8 th std.and on the basis of that quiz were given to student and the winners of the quiz were distributed gifts given by synergie and godrej.

Collection of newspaper is done on 15 days gap at various society of Ghatkopar and we are getting very good response of this project.

Diabetic check up camp
It was the joint project with Rotaract club of Thane central was conducted at YMCA ground wher around 100 people were checked for the diabeties.

INDEPENDENCE DAY - "PUKAAR"
Flag hoisting was done with fellow Rotaractors and the Rotary team, then a peace rally along with Rotaract club of RJ college to spread awareness of how to save our Mother Nation.

FOOD FOR ANGEL
It is an ongoing project where every month one of the member takes initiative to donate food to the students of Dhanji Devsi school(a school of mentally retired kids)

It was like the ice breaker for the new members in the team. An orientation was given to all of them. A clear and transparent picture of RCMG was presented to them so as to make them understand what the club expects out of them and what could they expect from the club.

HIT MALARIA CAMPAIGN
A CSR project with synergie ( non profit organisation) and with Godrej happened at Yashwant Natya Mandir Dadar where 350 students of different schools were given awareness about the symptoms and precautions to be taken to prevent Malaria. This project was launched by Mayor Shradhha Jadhav. The project is divided into 2 parts with the first part explaining how to prevent Malaria and the second part a quiz to test the student’s understanding about the disease.

HYGIES
It is a Professional Development project. We had designed a very informative power point presentation of the hygiene requirements separate for boys and girls. It stated all the necessary steps to be taken for proper hygiene from head to toe. We approached few schools in and around Ghatkopar for the presentation and primarily focussed students from the 8th to the 10th standards. We have got good response from the Principals of SVDD and M D Bhatia school and look forward to spread the importance of personal hygiene to many more schools in the near future.

FYKI(SMS)
It is a professional development project on the lines of OMG facts Chaired by Rtr. Nisha last year. 3 times a week a sms is send to every member of the RCMG family informing them the most undisclosed, surprising and joyful facts about nature, science, sports, beauty etc. It has been a good learning for me scanning through the most interesting facts on the internet and books then choosing the best ones to be forwarded to the members. I would continue to mesmerize you all with the kindest information and happy to get some contributions from your side as well.

FIGHT THE FILTH
It is a community service project in association with Mumbai Mirror. Ghatkopar east Sabji mandi is in a prime location such that majority of Ghatkopar east residents buy the everyday vegetables and fruits from the place. It comprises of more than 150 vendors. However, it being such a strategic place where hygiene becomes more than a necessity, it is many times found in a dismal condition. We Rotaractors took up this issue with Mumbai Mirror and the BMC to clean up the Hingwala Lane and more importantly spread awareness to the vendors of the necessary hygiene standards that they should maintain.

MANIA's
Isha the prospective member of Rotaract Club Of Mumbai Ghatkopar had initiated a project to make Rotaractors know the different types of Manias and which kind of mania do they possess. The different kinds of manias were discussed and explained to the rotaractors.
And at the end a small quize was organized on this. Here follows the list of manias :-

SCIENCE CARNIVAL
Rotaract Club Of Mumbai Ghatkopar had organized Science Carnival on 28th November, 2010 at rotary Service Centre, Vidhyavihar.
Science Carnival was an Inter School Science Quize Competition for students of 7th, 8th and 9th grade.Main aim behind this carnival wasto make students understand that science is fun. Seven Schools in Ghatkopar had participated in the event.
In all there were six rounds:
a) Khoj Khoj Me… Where questions were related to scientist and there inventions.
b) Mix Mantra :- In this round there were questions related to Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
c) Physics/ Nutrition :- This round was related to nutrition and physics.
d) Dekhoo to Jane :- This was a visual round where the students had to identify the picture.
e) Equation – Balance - Solve :- This round consist of problems and balancing of equation.
f) 1) Fun Puzzle :- In this round 3 grids were given from which the students had to find the
required answers.
f) 2) what happens when :- In this the students were given some experiments and they had
to say which is the principal applied.
Certificates for the event were printed by “Colour Concepts” print partners of Rotaract Club Of Mumbai Ghatkopar.
P.G.Garodia High School secured first position in Science Carnival. First runner up was Holy Family High School. And the second runner up was M.D.Bhatia English Medium
High School.

A Ticket to Retro fiesta - Freshers nite!
Rotaract Club Of Mumbai Ghatkopar had organized Fressers Night on 28th November, 2010 at rotary Service Centre, Vidhyavihar
The theam for the night was Retro where every one had to dress up like one and of 70es and 80ties. Everyone had to give there introduction in one of the style of the hero/heroine of 70es and 80ties. All time favourate of all antakshari was played. There was an interaction between old rotaractors and new rotaractors. and followed with dinner.

Diwali celebration at Dhanji devshi spl school
Food for Angels is a project which will continue round the year. On 27th November, 2010 food was given to the kids of Dhanji Devshi School. On the occasion of diwali festival the food for this month was Biscuites and sweets which were donated by Rtr. Riddhi Doshi and Rtr. Karna Ravals’s family.
Why do we celebrate diwali festival was explained to kids. Then as usual games were played.
Harsh Raval said," As a teenager I had never thought that we can sever our community in this way. But after coming here I have decided to help my sister with whatever she does for these kids”

BULL FIGHT
Bull Fights is an initiative taken by Rotarct Club Of Mumbai Ghatkopar. It’s a project which will continue round the year. A debate or a group discussion takes place at the end of the General Body Meeting once in every month. This is an initiative taken for the self development of the club members. The group discussion topic for the month of October was “What is good hard work or smart work”.

Food for Angels!
Food for Angels is a project which will continue round the year. On 21st October, 2010 food was given to the kids of Dhanji Devshi School. The food for this month was Biscuits which were donated by Rtr. Dhara Shah’s family.
The kids and the rotaractors played garba on the tunes of gujarati songs and also on the beats of tabla which was played by one of the student.
The parents were very happy to spend time with this lovely kids and every one including the children enjoyed the event to the core.

3 R's
3 R’s is a project which will continue round the year. The inauguration of the 3R’s took place on 8th October 2010. RCMG started with Reduce. This month main theme was to reduce carbon credits. Planting trees is one of the most important solutions for reducing carbon-di- oxide. So, this project was started with planting trees. In this project we had gone at Rtr. Dhrutika Patel, Rtr. Parshva Doshi, Rtr. Riddhi doshi, Rtr.Karna Raval, Rtr.Jagruti Ravla and Rtr. Shrenik Gandhi’s place for planting trees. The rotaractors enthusiastically participated in the project to make it successful. Members of RCMG
also got great support from the residents of the building and the society members encouraged to continue with this great job.

World NON VIOLENCE Day
02nd October, 2010 is observed as International Non Violence day being the birthday of Gandhiji. The Poster was designed with the theam of non violence. E-mail campaign was carried out by sending the message of Non Violence. This poster was sent to various Rotaract Clubs nationally and internationally.

World HABITAT Day
Rotaract Club Of Mumbai Ghatkopar celebrated world habited day on 03rd October, 2010 at Rotary Service Centre, Vidhyavihar. The main aim behind the project was to remind the collective responsibility for the future of human habitat The saplings were planted out side the rotary service centre by the members of RCMG along with slum kids.

Chala Kheduya Raas Garba
Chala Khedu Ya Raas Garba was joint project initiated by Rotaract Club Of Mumbai Ghatkopar with Rotaract Club Of Mumbai Shivaji Park on 03rd October, 2010 at Rtr. Dhara’s Place.
Variety of steps such as ek taali,teen taali, raas, matukdi and popat were tought to the members of Rotaract Club Of Mumbai Shivaji Park.
Matukdi originated from kutch is a type of hinch which is very famous for ladies.

NAVRATRI Celebrations
Festival of colours Navratri was celebrated by Rotaract Club Of Mumbai Ghatkopar from 08th October, 2010 to 16th October, 2010. Rotaract Club Of Mumbai Ghatkopar Celebrated navaratri for six days at Police Hockey Ground with ‘Rangat Beats’ by Shriram Iyer and three days at somaiya ground was with Kirtidan Gadhvi as lead players. Dress codes were given for each day keeping in mind the nine different colors as per custom. All nine days were dedicated to Goddess Durga.

Fellowship with Rotary Club of Wadhwan City
Rotary fellowship event conducted at G.I.D.C factory ground on 15th October, 2010. This event was only for rotary, rotaract and their guests. Rotaract Club Of Wadhwan city is a newly revived club since one year.The main idea behind this project was to develop relationship with other clubs outside the district and to know the functioning of other clubs outside R.I.District 3140. There was a formal introduction, the ideas and thoughts regarding projects were exchanged between clubs. Also Club Editorial, Lapel Pins, Letter Heads were exchanged. The Navaratri was organized at Rotary Fellowship Event. It was followed by dinner. It was a great experience in all working with them.

SITAARE ZAMEEN PAR

\"Sitaare Zameen Par" is the flagship project of Rotaract Club Of Mumbai Ghatkopar from last two years, but with the addition of Rotaract Club Of Mumbai Shivajipark the family has growen this year. This project was conducted on 23rd October, 2010 at Sulbha School, Tilak Nagar. In this project special and orphan kids showcase there talents in various ways like dancing, Poems, Playing of a musical instrument, etc..Dhenji Devsi School for special kids, Good samarthan mission, Ramjiasar school, sulbha school and many other individuals participated for this talent show. In all fifteen performances
Were there. The special guest showed the magic show and also taught some tricks of magic. The donors, press reporters from Chembur Ghatkopar Plus and Voice Of Ghatkopar had graced the occasion. Entire audience was amazed after seeing the performances of this really very specially kids who were full of enthusiasm and energy.

The DABANGG girls
The Dabang Girls –Bindas girls gang this project was especially designed for girls to learn Bikes. This Project was divided in to 4 days for 1 -2 hours from 28/10/2010 to 31/10/2010 at SHanti Park.
On first day the rules and regulations while riding a bike were explained such as caring original driving license; important documents like vehicle registration certificate and insurance certificate. Never stop abruptly in traffic, move to the left
and slow down. To wear helmet while driving and many others.
Second day the girls were taught to ride active by three of the instructors.
On third and fourth day pulsar and unicorn were taught. Even bullet was available. Since, it is very heavy no girls were able to ride. The instructors Rtr. Smith Soni and alumni Rtr. Dr. Parag Shah explained the function and taught unicorn and pulser respectively.This was enjoyed by both the learners as well as the tutors.

PASSIONATE CHOICE
Rotaract Club Of Mumbai Ghatkopar and
Rotaract Club Of Ramniranjan Jhunjhunwala College jointly on 29th October, 2010 conducted an seminar –Passionate Choice.
Mr.Roy Charles was the speaker for the seminar. He was faculty trainer and CAT course Director for T.I.M.E. Mumbai and now Mentor of REC.
The seminar started his introduction, his carrier background and his future plans.
He started with TIME and STRESS MANAGEMENT because everyone in these days wants to learn about it as they have busy days full of work load and because of that they suffer from stress which affects the health badly. He explained how to manage things.
Important points which a person should take care of while selecting a carrier were delivered. He said people should understand that, “Take up the field in which you are actually interested and not because that course is in demand or all the people around you are doing.” How to start a new business or a job was also discussed.
Tips to become successful in ones own field were given by Mr. Charles Roy. Also explained how to manage work and studies together and how to manage more than one course at a time and do well in each and everything.

LEARNING CURVES
Rotaract club of Mumbai Ghatkopar youth wing of rotary club of Mumbai Ghatkopar on 01 August 2010 had organized an orientation/ training session for club members & new members at Rotary Service Centre, Vidyavihar. The well known personality PDRR Rtn. Pankaj Phatarphod, MD of Royal Bank of Scottish (ABN Ambro Bank) was invitedas the speaker for the session. He Joined Rotaract 17 Years back. He gave motivational lecture to the Rotaractors & the invited guests. He explained how big the Rotaract organization is and what motivated him to join Rotaract. Through his own example he shared the view about his Rotaract days and explained how Rotaract helped him on his
Professional front.

DIL DOSTI ETC - A friendship day celebration
"A friend is one who believes in you when you have ceased to believe in yourself". On 1st August, 2010 Rotaract Club of Mumbai Ghatkopar celebrated the friendships day in rotary service centre... and it was super fun with lots of friendship bands and balloons and chocolates with loads of games and fun. We played “AD-MAD SHOW" and even the “UK GAME". The best part of the event was the ' INNOVATIVE NARAYAL AWARDS" which were given to the winners. In all it was total fun and the event which made RCMG realize the value of friendship and made people make new friends.

SA RE GA MA PA College Singing Super star
On 10th October, 2010 Rotaract Club Of Mumbai Ghatkopar in association with ZEE TV had conducted auditions for the students of Somaiya College. This was an exclusive audition held for the students of Somaiya and the winner received the title of Somaiya Singing Superstar and the person will have the direct entry in the reality show of Sa Ra Ga Ma Pa . 120 students participated in the audition. The hall was filled with more than 400 students. The promotion for the audition started from 6th August, 2010 till 10th October, 2010.

BLOOD Donation Camp @ S.I.E.S college
“Donate Blood Save Life” is a manta which Rotaract Club of Mumbai Ghatkopar follows. Blood is considered the lifeline of human body. On 11th August, 2010 Rotaract Club of Mumbai Ghatkopar in association with blood bank of sion hospital conducted blood donation camp at South Indian Education Society of commerce and economics. 91 bottles of blood was collected in this camp.

Shining Stars of India
On 15th August 2010 the children’s of NGO Aasara performed Dance at Rotary Service Centre, Vidyavihar. Books were donated to the Kids by Life Express Team. Music Director Roop Kumar Rathod, Director Anup Das and Sujit Das graced the occasion. There was an awareness campaign on stop piracy was done by Life Express Team.

Rishton ka Bandhan
Raksha bandhan is the festival which defines love between brothers and sisters. On 26th August, 2010 Rotaract Club of Mumbai Ghatkopar celebrated Raksha bandhan with children’s of Dhanji Devshi School. Girls of the school tied rakhi’s to guys of our club. The sweets were distributed among the children’s by Rtr. Pratik Mehta.

AAVJO - A send-of party
Aavjo was a small farewell party organized for three of the gem’s of Rotaract Club Of Mumbai Ghatkopar Rtr. Nirav Soni , Rtr. Dhruv Rakasya and Rtr. Nilay Patel on 29th of August,2010. Rotractors at guru krupa hotel had the delicious lunch and recollected the movements which we spent together. The three anmol ratans of the club also shared their experiences which they had with every individual in the club. Slam Book filled with what the Rotaractors had to say about them was given to them as the memory which they would take along with them. The team of Rotaract Club Of Mumbai Ghatkopar whished them Success in their Life. Even though the three gems have parted from us physically but they will always remain in our hearts and their presence will remain in all our events. RCMG looks forward to learn and share more new things from them which they will experience in their new environment.

PAATHSHAALA - An Installation Ceremony
Paathshaala an installation ceremony of Rotaract club of Mumbai Ghatkopar was held on 3rd July, 2010. The recognition to the district members was given. The secretarial report for the year 2009-2010 was delivered by the secretarial team Rtr. Nirav Soni and Rtr. Jagruti Raval. The awards for the presidential year 2009-2010 were declared by the president Rtr. Sachi Mehta. The new president Rtr. Parshva Doshi and his Bord of Directors were inducted. The new logo of the club was released. The videos like School Chale Hum, Priceless memories, etc were showcased. There was a short speech given by the Chief. Guest for the event DRR. Rtr. Harikrisnan Pillai & Smt. Nanda Ben. And also by our own Rotary president, Rtn. Hitesh Bilakia. Rotaract club of Mumbai Ghatkopar also announced that they would be helping S.P.R.J.Kanya Shala for the project “Shiksha”.

Industrial Visit to COKE
Rotaract Club of Mumbai Ghatkopar had organized an Industrial Visit to Coca Cola factory on Saturday, 17th July, 2010. We saw how manufacturing plant, how various shapes of bottles are prepared in the mold, the packing, Cleaning process of the bottles returned, there other products of coca cola company. We interacted with the people in the plant regarding the issues of coca cola prevailing in the market.

THE REBEL HEROES - An Alumni Meet
On 18th July, the 7th Anniversary of Rotaract Club Of Mumbai Ghatkopar organized “The Rebel Heroes”. The senior members of the club were invited. There was an introductory session between the past and the present Rotaractors. The past presidents conducted meeting as acting the role of President and Secretary. In all GBM meeting was conducted one after the other. RCMG also gave fare well to Immediate Past President Rtr. Sachi Mehta for successfully completing her tenure as a president.
